I want to pay tribute to the people that have inspired me within the tech community. This list is in no way exhaustive, I fully intend to add to this list in the future.
Kent C Dodds - he’s a champion of OSS and always around to help people in need.
Shubheksha Jalan - another great resource in the world of OSS and is very supportive of new programmers.
Luke Westby - inspring to see what he’s doing with the elm community and lowering the barrier to entry for new programmers
Safia Abdalla - she’s always coming out with something in the OSS world and cares a lot about fighting for equality
Jem Young - while I’ll never be as tall or handsome, I love how passionate he is about making things better. His energy is contagious.
Ryan Burgess - the mastermind beind Front End Happy Hour. Always has something worthwhile to contribute to a conversation.
Sarah Drasner - she’s a wizard when it comes to manipulating objects visually. She always seems to be one of the first to try out new languages and show what is possible and teach others how to get started.
Quincy Larson - Founder of FreeCodeCamp really helped me to kickstart my journey into web development and lower the barrier for me to get into this.
Saron Yitbarek - Founder of CodeNewbies a community that made me feel like I belonged here.
Pretty Much everyone at npm is an inspiration. They are all fighting the good fight for equality for everyone, and they make a product that helps so many people. They all inspire me to be a better person and developer:
